OUR PROJECTS
CLEAR Society is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and protecting the Elko and Baynes Lake aquifers, surface water, and ecosystems that rely on the Elk River. Our projects include monitoring water quality, promoting conservation, and advocating for sustainable practices. We believe in working collaboratively with local communities, businesses, and governments to ensure a healthy future for the natural environment and the people who live, work, and recreate here.

02
Geological work by John Hodgins (CLEAR Geology Advisor) and Se sampling have provided a proof-of-concept boundary of the aquifer. EDF funding is required for a new discrete project phase to provide quantitative validation through definitive testing methods.
Additional research is required to confirm and update the proof-of-concept water balance model CLEAR Story Map/Water Balance. EDF funding is required for a new discrete project phase to provide a robust water balance model that considers all operating conditions.
03
EDF discrete funding is required to determine: How does the water get into the Aquifer? How does the water flow?
04
EDF discrete funding is required to determine: How do the upper and lower aquifers mix or commingle? Additional research will provide us with a solid model of the aquifer and impacts to the area.
05
EDF funding is required to provide resources to provide evidence to the BC Government to update the Aquifer Maps.
